Making dreams, reality. One bike at a time

In-Depth CV

Main Emulsion goes in and out from the slide side. Ensure all pinholes are open and clean. This is where air starts to mix with the fuel, if the Emulsion tube is clogged you will have a rich condition. If the washer is not flat, use a hammer and a flat surface to “lightly” tap it flat. Don’t get carried away as it could become deformed. It is made of brass. Go to your local hardware store and get a torch tip cleaner to clean the small holes in the jets.

Clean all, shake the float, if you hear liquid, it’s leaking. Replace. Some needles have a rubber tip, if the rubber tip is deformed, replace the needle. Don’t loose the float pin.

Clean the drain and use the torch tip cleaner to clean the jet at the bottom of the air emulsion tube. Make sure you get air flowing through there just don't make the hole bigger.
